| A quasi American Football sim, with monsters. Relatively easy to use with some innovative java features, but really let down by its simplicity. The players on the pitch only do one of four things: Throw, Block, Run or Defend. You set their orders before the game, and thats it - simple to get going, but it means that the result of the game depends on how good your players are, rather than how good your tactics were. And for me this is the let down - players get better with time through gaining experience. So the best teams are the ones who have played the longest, and this is frustrating. Also the transfer market is very poor - you can develop a very good player, and then only get a small sum if you sell them. So players dont get sold, and the transfer market stagnates. So, in summary, not very tactically challenging, you progress by plodding, and no real feeling of community. But the basic gameplay is fine, so 5 out of 10. submitted by Donut102 on 09 03, 2006 |
