| A great game which enhances the original Lords of Midnight by actually having challenging opponents to play against! The additions to original game such as caravans, dwarfs, etc. only make for a more atmospheric experience. Fantastic! :D submitted by Feanor on 16 03,2006 |
| If you happen to know the original Spectrum game, then chances are you are already playing MMU, otherwise welcome to earth, now register and start playing. For all the other gamers out there, beware! This game requires the use of a specific organ called "brain". MMU is an excellent turn-based strategy game set in a medieval-like world. The game is roughly split into three phases: Recruiting phase during which you have to plan the optimum paths to follow in order to recruit neutral lords to join your cause and thus increase your power, middle game,in which tactical manouvering and estimation of opponent's movement plays a crucial role in order for you to gain strategic advantage and late game, in which you win or die based on your effectiveness during the previous phases. The game is not very easy to pick-up, but to counterbalance this minor disadvantage, an extremely helpful and mature community will be available to guide you and train you through your first games. Having played some games one can grasp the basic functionality and technique and improve by playing more games. In this game you have the chance to propose suggestions and see them implemented, to meet strange middle-aged players from all over the world who have grown fond of each other and to actually put your brain in work!
