| Doxapolis is a fairly new web-based game I started playing a short while back. You basically perform fun activities here and there to make money and buy some cool stuff for your residence. Everybody is assigned one residence. The more stuff you have, the better your residence. Which could be anything from a one room apartment to a hill-top castle. You can join a house if you want. A house basically is a group of people. Only houses can perform some activities like own companies (Nike, Sony etc) or estates (Louvre, Niagara falls etc). You can also attack the residence of people that piss you off. Overall its a nice game with a nice interface, its kinda like facebook with feeds and all, except its a gaming environment. So far its reliable and although a bit complex, the interface is easy to use and straight forward. I expect more and more to be added to the game to make it better in future. | Doxapolis is a social web-based game with an emphasis on strategy, fashion, style, entertainment and education. Doxapolis is a unique portal where players engage in a “set of activities” within an intelligently designed, fun and user-friendly environment. You compete with other users to have one of the coolest residences, most wealth and be a part of the strongest house over an assigned period of time (a season) by making the best use of the resources available. Players do not have to log hours and hours of game play to be competitive. You can play in between work, school etc. Everything is simplified and all you have to do is have a good strategy and make wise decisions to get ahead. Items and activities in Doxapolis are designed to mimic a gamer’s day-to-day life in a more dynamic environment that quickly exposes him/her to “enjoyable risk". You get to showcase, trade and own clothing, interior designs, cars, real estate and even companies if you are that good. It is built for gamers and non-gamers alike; basically any one with social networking experience and some business acumen can become competitive.
