Review(s) of Daemornia: Battlegrounds Online

Daemornia: Battlegrounds Online is a massively multiplayer online game (or MMOG) based on the Pen & Paper RPG 'Daemornia'. It is a collectible card battle game but with the advantage over games like "Magig The Gathering" is that you can play it for free and subscribing does not give a great advantage over having brains and the ability to tactically plan your game.

The game went live on the 15 June 2008 and had approximately 1600 registered users in September 2008.

Daemornia: Battlegrounds Online is a game of skirmishes between rival armies. It takes place using a series of cards depicting creatures, scenarios, equipment, skills, events and more. It is played between two or more players using a deck of 40 cards each and requires a degree of tactical thinking in selecting the right force. Through careful deployment and equipping your warriors the objective is to defeat your opponent through winning battles, raids and destroying scenarios.

The game is fun to play and brings more depth than any other free-to-play browser game available in this genre. The developers are responsive to suggestions and jump on bugs with little delay from when they are reported.

The only real issue this game has is it's youth and relatively small user base which can occasionally leave you waiting a short while for someone to take up the challenge of battling you.

Other than that (I look at this as a good thing) is that a battle can take anywhere from 10 minutes to an hour to complete, on the plus side, this is one of the few browser based games which is worth playing at home, the art work is good and the site is clean and easy on the eye, it's definitely worth checking out if you enjoy collectible card battle games.
